This painting serves as a warm-up for 'Man with Apple.' I wanted to experiment by using bold colors and large brushstrokes on the figure, without focusing much on detail. Being able to let go and combine complementary colors without fear of losing my realistic style has been crucial in preparing for my next work. In 'Tight Hug,' aside from its experimental side, it conveys a sense of security and comfort in a casual manner. You can feel the warmth of the hug even though the faces of the protagonists are not visible.
